Welcome to the HADA Booster Club
We are so glad you are here! Welcome to the HADA Booster Club, a studio-supported initiative designed to help families offset the cost of dance through coordinated fundraising opportunities.
While this Booster Club is not a 501(c)(3) or formal nonprofit, it operates with transparency and structure under the guidance of High Attitude Dance Academy (HADA). It supports a variety of competition teams, studio events, and service efforts through purposeful fundraising - always with the dancer experience in mind.
*Please note: The Booster Club is not a tax-exempt organization and cannot issue tax-deductible receipts. All funds are managed responsibly by HADA staff, and communication with families is prioritized for clarity and accountability.

What Is the HADA Booster Club?
The HADA Booster Club is an internal fundraising umbrella that offers optional fundraisers designed to reduce dance-related expenses. These efforts are overseen by the studio Booster Lead and organized with the help of designated team leads and family volunteers when appropriate.
Beyond simply fundraising, the HADA Booster Club is designed to bring our dance families together - encouraging connection, collaboration, and support across all team levels. By working side by side, dancers, parents, and volunteers help create a unified studio culture rooted inrespect, service, and shared success.
Whether supporting a fundraiser, cheering at a show, or volunteering at an event, we believe that the Booster Club plays a vital role in building a strong, inclusive, and positive environment that benefits every dancer at HADA.
Most fundraisers are designed to help offset:
- General competition fees
- Dancer continuing education
- Nationals-related fees
- Costumes fees
- Team bonding or studio-hosted activity costs
Some fundraising events may be designed to provide benefits for the entire HADA community. These events help foster a positive, united studio culture and may fund things like studio enhancements, team-building experiences, or community-wide initiatives.
Other fundraisers will be designated as Comp Team general fund events, with proceeds specifically reserved to help offset shared team expenses that support the overall competition experience. These funds are not distributed to individual dancer accounts, and eligibility to benefit may be based on Booster Club membership status and team participation.
Our goal is to support both the larger studio family and the specific needs of our competitive teams in meaningful ways. We want our Booster Club to be an integral part in not only helping to off-set the increasing costs of dance, but to also foster a unified environment and provide positive and uplifting moments and connections to our dancers.
HADA NHSDA-Led Outreach
The National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) is a program of the National Dance Education Organization. Its mission is to recognize outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in students studying dance and to foster an appreciation for dance as a true art form and one worthy of recognition and prestige. By recognizing outstanding dance students nationwide for their artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement and providing institutions with a way to promote their dance programs, NHSDA helps to advance the field of dance education centered in the arts.
HADA NHSDA is our studio chapter of this national organization with a focus on leadership and service at the high school level. It operates within the Booster Club umbrella but follows a community-centered mission distinct from team fundraising.
HADA NHSDA Purpose:
Support leadership building, community outreach, service-based initiatives, and studio-wide engagement.
Use of Funds:
HADA NHSDA funds are used only for community-focused work or our local chapter-wide needs. They do not offset competition, tuition, or costume costs. Events may be specifically designed to support the studio as a whole (e.g., studio wellness initiatives or equipment upgrades).

Fundraising Branches & Purpose
The HADA Booster Club organizes fundraisers through a branch-based system, with each branch supporting a specific goal or group.
Elite Team
Purpose: Currently offsets costs related to Nationals, including travel, entry fees, and team experiences.
Who Benefits: HADA Elite Team dancers who attend Nationals
Notes: Elite fundraisers may be exclusive to the Elite Team or shared events with designated proceeds. As of now, funds raised under the elite fundraising branch are used only for Nationals-related expenses with cross-over for graduating seniors on off-years. Currently, the Elite Team operates as an almost completely pooled fundraiser group. All eligible Elite dancers benefit equally from fundraisers that fall under the Elite fundraising branch, due to current team culture, history, and goals.
Competition Team
Purpose: Support the full Competition Team with fundraising for competitions, team events, and shared expenses.
Who Benefits: Competition Team dancers who meet eligibility through membership, points, or participation.
Notes: Most funds are distributed based on participation, but some general team-wide benefits may apply to all dancers depending on the fundraiser. Some events might be specific to adding to the Booster Club General Fund and not distributed individually. Competition Team fundraisers are available to all comp team members.
Direct Sales
Purpose: Allow individual dancers/families to earn funds directly for their own dance-related expenses.
Who Benefits: The dancer/family who participates in the sale.
Notes: A percentage of Direct Sales funds go to the individual seller and are not pooled unless otherwise specified. The rest go to the General Booster Club to help with general and administrative costs. Some events may overlap with whole/partial team fundraisers if structured to do so. Direct Sale fundraisers are available to all comp and/or rec members.
NHSDA
Purpose: Lead community service projects and support studio outreach, not financial aid for dance expenses.
Led By: NHSDA officers and members
Who Benefits: Local nonprofits, the community, and the studio as a whole
Notes: NHSDA funds do not reduce competition or tuition costs. Exceptions may apply only when a project supports the entire studio in a holistic way (e.g., wellness or mental health initiatives, equipment used by all).
Eligibility, Participation, Policies & Guidelines
To benefit from a fundraiser, a dancer/family must:
● Be a member of the relevant group
● Meet minimum participation requirements (ex: sell, work, donate, organize, membership)
● Adhere to all deadlines, instructions, and expectations communicated by the Booster
Lead Team or studio
● Understand that fundraiser benefits are not automatic — participation is required to
earn credit or eligibility for shared proceeds for most fundraisers
● Our umbrella model allows for focused, collaborative management that organizes and supports all fundraising efforts in a structured way
● Understand that proceeds from Competition Team fundraisers may go to either a general fund or be applied toward individual dancer expenses, depending on the type of fundraiser and how it is designated at the time of planning
● Agree that flexibility and understanding will be needed as we continue developing this new group
Policies & Guidelines
To ensure all Booster Club activities reflect the values of HADA, the following policies and guidelines apply to all participants, including dancers, parents, guardians, and volunteers:
General Expectations
● All Booster Club events must be approved and overseen by Booster Lead Team and
Studio Administrator
● Participation in fundraisers is optional but almost always required in order to benefit
● Families are expected to honor all deadlines, expectations, and fundraiser rules
● Funds are not transferable between dancers or branches without studio approval
● Proceeds from Booster Club fundraisers will be allocated either to a general fund or
applied toward individual dancer expenses, based on the type of fundraiser and how it is designated at the time of planning
● Funds are used for approved dance-related costs only and are never issued as cash
Representation & Conduct
When participating in or promoting any fundraiser, families are considered representatives of HADA. Therefore:
● Be respectful, professional, and courteous in all communications and public behavior
● Follow all local laws and community venue rules at public events
● Do not pressure others to donate or purchase
● Social media posts should be respectful, appropriate, and reflect positively on the
program
Parent & Guardian Decorum
HADA maintains a zero-tolerance policy for behavior that puts dancers at risk, physically or emotionally, during Booster Club events or anything related to HADA in general.
The following are strictly prohibited:
● Physical actions such as grabbing, pulling, pushing, or any form of physical contact
directed at dancers in frustration or correction
● Yelling at or verbally scolding dancers - your own or others - during a rehearsal,
performance, or fundraiser
● Any adult behavior that undermines a dancer’s confidence, safety, or emotional
well-being
Any violation of this policy may result in the immediate removal of the parent or guardian
from Booster Club participation and/or studio events, at the discretion of HADA
leadership.
